Tried & True
π₯© Tried & True: Tonyβs Meats & Market
Had the pleasure of enjoying way too much of Tonyβs this past weekendβ¦ and I canβt recommend them enough. On my plate: juicy chicken skewers, Japanese steak skewers (close second), Cajun-style pork skewers (winner), Italian broccoli slaw, super-green salad, sweet cantaloupe, plus an Oreo brownie βcakeβ and massive cookies for dessert. Iβll be going back again, again, and again.
If you donβt know Tonyβs, youβre missing out. This family-owned market has been around since 1978, when Tony Rosacci opened the first location on Dry Creek Road. What started as a one-man butcher shop grew β with help from Tonyβs wife, Nancy, and their kids β into a full-service market blending the charm of a European shop with the friendliness of a neighborhood butcher. Today, sons Daniel and Chef Mick continue the tradition, with Mickβs culinary touch shaping the deli and prepared foods youβll find in-store.
Why locals love it
Tonyβs sources all-natural, high-grade meats β no synthetic hormones, antibiotics, or chemical residues β from farms that meet their strict quality and animal care standards. Seafood arrives fresh daily, the bakery is stocked with breads and sweets, and the deli is loaded with ready-to-eat temptations.
Tonyβs Take Out = easy wins
Their chef-prepared, heat-and-serve line makes weeknights effortless: beef enchiladas, chicken & broccoli fettuccine Alfredo, meatloaf with mashed potatoes, pesto tortellini, flatbread pizzas, and more. Menus rotate seasonally, so call ahead if youβve got your heart set on something.
Chile Roast season is on
Theyβre live-roasting Hatch and Pueblo chiles at in-store events β available by quart, half bushel, or full bushel β on Saturdays from 11:00 AMβ3:00 PM, August 16 through September 6. Check their website for the location schedule.
No matter where you are in Douglas County, thereβs a Tonyβs worth the trip.
Where to find them
Castle Pines β’ Centennial (Dry Creek) β’ Littleton β with online ordering and catering available.
