Ladies’ Night Out is filling up — our DougCo Social Ladies' Night Out on April 10th at COFF33 is almost out of early release tickets, so if you want to take advantage of the cheaper tickets do so before they’re gone!
Here's the deal: a private guided wine tasting with Shanna Blanchard, co-owner of Blanchard Family Wines. Sparkling welcome, charcuterie and dessert boards, tasting of four wines, photos and giveaways. 6-8pm, downtown Castle Rock.
This is for the friend group that keeps saying "we need to do something." This
is the something. Dress up, drink wine, and get some nice photos together!
Grab your tickets here.
Bar Hummingbird is coming to Castle Rock — Castle Rock is getting something it's never really had — an upscale cocktail bar built for the experience, not just the drinks. Bar Hummingbird opens at The Promenade, right next door to The Brinkerhoff. Craft cocktails, small bites, and some of the best sunset views of the Front Range in town. We got a sneak peek inside.

Crowsnest Annexation: Withdrawn (For Now) — If you've been following our coverage of the Crowsnest annexation — the 795-acre development east of the Canyons that would have nearly doubled Castle Pines' population — here's the latest: the developer withdrew the petition on March 19.
Why? City Council passed Resolution 26-23 on Monday, accepting the withdrawal and imposing a stay on all future annexation applications until the city formally adopts an Annexation Policy. Staff has 90 days to present a draft — then public input on criteria like density, open space, and infrastructure before adoption.
Translation: this probably isn't over. The land isn't going anywhere, and once the new policy is in place, they can reapply.
