TLDR: Lone Tree is selling a 3.3-acre property near I-25 and C-470 to Texas-based Truck Yard, which will turn it into a restaurant and live music venue. Known for its casual vibe, string lights, and suburban appeal, Truck Yard caters mostly to families and older adults. This will be their first location in Colorado.

🏗️ Colorado Avalanche Sign Brent Burns to One-year Deal
TLDR: Veteran defenseman Brent Burns, 40, has signed a one-year, $1 million deal with the Colorado Avalanche. A six-time NHL All-Star, Burns brings experience and durability to the team, having played all 82 games in each of the past four seasons. While his role will be smaller, he adds valuable depth to the Avs' defensive core alongside stars Cale Makar and Devon Toews.

I tried a few standouts during my visit—each one a delicious reminder of their world-class training. The almond croissant was flaky, buttery perfection. The lemon poppy tea cake had just the right amount of citrus and sweetness. But the prosciutto & brie tart? Hands down, the best of the bunch—flavor-packed with perfectly paired savory and creamy goodness.

Poulette Bakeshop offers a true taste of European craftsmanship right here in Colorado, with locally sourced ingredients and meticulous attention to detail. If you’re in the area, don’t miss this hidden gem (because, like many great food spots, it’s tucked away in a strip mall for now). Trust me, your tastebuds will thank you.

Heads up: They’ll be on summer break from 7/9-7/12, so plan to stop by another date. Note that it’s a storefront with no seating—so grab your pastries and head home, to a friend's house, or take them to your next event. They’ll also be moving to The Juniper in downtown Parker this fall!
